A container is a strong and safe space made of a metal frame. The dimensions of the container are standard and universal. 40-foot HIGHCUBE container: The High Cube container is available in dimensions of 12 x 2.5 meters with a height of 2.90 meters. The difference between these containers and the 40-foot container is their height, which is why they are also known as high containers. This type of container is used to transport goods with high heights.
 

∴ Types of containers based on use:

 
1. Dry goods container: (Normal Container)
 
These are the most widely used and common containers, which are used in 20 and 40 foot sizes.
 
This type of container is the most common type of container and any type of dry goods is included in this type of container. This is the most widely used type of container.

2. Refrigerated Container: (Refrigerated Container)
 
This container has a refrigeration system and is suitable for transporting food and perishable goods.
 
This container has a refrigeration system (mobile or fixed) and is used for perishable cargo, including food.
 
There are different methods for keeping the container cool, including the use of refrigerant gases.
 
Of course, liquid refrigerant is also used, but this method is expensive and is used less often.

3. Open Side Container
 
There is a large opening door or doors on the side of the container, which makes loading easier.
 
One side of this type of container consists of doors (two doors), which has advantages over normal containers, including:
 
a) Maximum use of container volume
 
b) Ease of loading and unloading in the shortest time
 
c) It accommodates over-sized goods.

4. HEATED CONTAINER
 
A heated container has thermal insulation in the bodies and a heat engine that is used for goods that require storage in hot weather.

5. Open top container
 
This container is also used for dry goods like the first type, with the difference that instead of a metal roof, a canvas cloth is used as a roof. The wall material of this container is corrugated steel and its floor is wooden. This type of transport is used for goods with unclear packaging such as sand, gravel, grains, etc.

6. Insulated Container
 
The construction of this type of container is made of insulating materials to prevent the conversion of cold to heat or the entry of heat and to keep the inside of the container cool. It is used to transport medicine, frozen meat, ice cream, ice, etc.
7. Open top-open side container:
 
This type of container, like the open top or open side container, has its own specific application and is actually a combination of the two types.
8. Tank Container: (Tank Container)
 
This type of container, which has a single-walled or double-walled body, is used to transport common and dangerous liquids and gases, and its shape is also different from other containers.
 
In terms of value, it is in the group of very expensive containers and their protection is of great importance due to the dangers that can be faced by the special goods inside it.

 

9. Ventilated Container:
 
It is used to transport cargo that requires proper ventilation to prevent spoilage. Ventilated containers are used to transport goods such as coffee and beans, which is why the ventilated container is also known as the coffee container.
10. Foldable Containers:
 
Foldable containers have very little use and are used less often, and because they can be folded when needed, they take up less space.
11. Gas tank container:
 
This container is also shaped like a cylinder and is used to transport gases.
